Jesse is the Head Writer at Tolarian Community College and a regular writer elsewhere. TCC is the largest Magic: The Gathering YouTube channel, producing 2-3 20 minute video essays each week for 1.3 million subscribers. Videos cover a wide range of topics, including product reviews, strategy lessons, topical commentary, and conceptual deep-dives. To date, Jesse has written something like 250 TCC scripts. Sometimes she will appear in them, sometimes without warning. How all this happened is kind of a long story but pretty much in her late 20s she accidentally became a professional Magic player. But she’s retired now. Really.

When she’s not writing for TCC, Jesse tells stories about being trans in this crazy crazy world. She’s written four full-length plays: Austin’s Home, developed at the Great Plains Theatre Commons, The Chain, developed with Hell in a Handbag Productions, Dysphoria Fugue, semi-finalist for the Ojai Playwright’s Conference, and Graves Grow No Green, developed with Jackalope Theatre Company’s Playwrights’ Lab. In 2022, JTC commissioned her short play Child Protection for its Living Newspaper Festival. Her debut short film Stress Fracture premiered at the 42nd Reeling Film Festival in Chicago and screened at queer film festivals in Poland and Germany.

Jesse lives in Brooklyn surrounded by beautiful transsexuals. Also she’s working on a novel.
